Description
Ferrosilicon is a ferroalloy consisting of iron and silicon. Ferrosilicon is a Fe Si alloy made of coke, steel scrap and quartz (or silica) as raw material and smelted by electric furnace. Silicon and oxygen are easy to synthesize silica, so ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidizer for steelmaking. At the same time, a large amount of heat is released when SiO2 is produced. It is also beneficial to improve the temperature of molten steel at the same time as deoxidization. At the same time, ferrosilicon can also be used as an adding agent for alloy elements. It is widely used in low alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel and electrical silicon steel, and ferrosilicon is used as reducing agent in the production of ferroalloys and chemical industry.
