Barium Silicon Description
Ferro silicon barium inoculant is a kind of FeSi-based alloy containing certain amount of barium and calcium, it can remarkably reduce the chill phenomenon, generating very little residue. Therefore, Ferro silicon barium inoculant is more effective than the inoculant that only contain calcium, in addition, it has same inoculating performance that the inoculant with higher content of barium and calcium would have. The combination of barium and calcium has better control on the chill than the inoculant containing calcium only has.

Ferro silicon Barium Application
1. Strongly increase the graphitized core, refine graphite, promote the production of a-type graphite in gray cast iron, improve the strength, for nodular cast iron can make graphite in nodular iron small, round, improve the level of spheroidization.
2. Barium Silicon Inoculant can effectively reduce the supercooling degree of hot metal, promote the precipitation of graphite, significantly reduce the tendency of white hole, reduce the relative hardness, and improve the cutting performance of castings.
3. The sensitivity of wall thickness is small, the uniformity of section is improved, and the tendency of shrinkage and loosening is reduced.
