Introduction to Compound Fertilizer Production
Compound fertilizer provides comprehensive nutrients for crops. The production process combines essential plant nutrient elements (such as N, P, K and other trace elements) through chemical methods. This involves gathering nitrogen fertilizer, phosphorus fertilizer, potash fertilizer and other chemicals together and forming them into particles suitable for agricultural use. When applied to soil, crops can efficiently absorb the required nutrients.
Raw Materials for Compound Fertilizer Production
Compound fertilizer contains two or all three of the basic plant nutrients—Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium—along with microelements such as Boron, Manganese, Copper, Zinc, and Molybdenum. Raw materials can be in powder or bulk form, primarily including:

Working Principle of Compound Fertilizer Production
Raw material ingredients: Urea, ammonium nitrate, ammonium chloride, ammonium sulphate, ammonium phosphate (monoammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate), coarse whiting, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate and other raw materials are proportionally matched according to market demand and soil test results.
Raw materials mixing: The ingredient mixture is thoroughly blended to ensure uniform fertilizer efficiency in the granules.
Granulation of raw material: The evenly mixed raw material is sent to the granulator (drum granulator or extruding granulator).
Granulation drying: Granules are placed in the dryer to reduce moisture content, increasing granule strength and improving storage capability.
Granulation cooling: After drying, granules are cooled to prevent clumping and facilitate bagging for storage and transportation.
Particle classification: Cooled particles are graded—unqualified particles are crushed and regranulated while qualified products are sifted out.
Finished film coating: Qualified products are coated to enhance granule brightness and roundness.
Packaging of finished product: Coated particles are stored in ventilated areas after packaging.
