Requirements and precautions:
Power on the patient monitor before assembling the disposable pressure transducer system.
Unpack the disposable pressure transducer kit under sterile conditions. Confirm all fittings are firmly connected and stopcock handles function properly. Do not overtighten luer connectors.
The side ports of stopcocks within monitoring kits are fitted with vented caps. Keep these caps installed until the system is primed with sterile fluid and air bubbles are fully removed. Afterwards, replace the vented caps with non-vented caps supplied in the individual pouch of each kit.
