The optical fiber is 250µm, the loose tube is made of high modulus plastic, which is filled with waterproof compound. The tube is wrapped with a layer of Steel tape (PSP) longitudinally , Between the PSP and the loose tube water-blocking compound is applied to keep the cable compact and watertight . Two parallel steel wire are placed at the two sides of the steel tape. The cable is completed with a polyethylene(PE) sheath.
