Main Functions
OPGW cables are primarily applied in power communication systems, working together with accessories for relay protection, automatic control, and data transmission. They are installed alongside high-voltage power lines, combining optical communication and grounding functions.
Structure
The Stranded Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) is manufactured with two or three layers of aluminum-clad steel wires (ACS), or a mix of ACS and aluminum alloy wires. This design is optimized to meet the common structural and mechanical demands of power transmission lines.
