The Mellanox InfiniBand MMS4X50-NM compatible OSFP optical module is an InfiniBand 800Gb/s dual-port OSFP with 2x400Gb/s, a 2xFR4 single-mode multiplexing optical module, using 2 optical fibers, 4-channel duplex LC optical connectors, each supporting 100G-PAM4 transmission. The parallel multimode short-distance 8-channel (2xFR4) design is based on a CWDM4 serial multiplexing 1310nm wavelength grid and uses the 100G-PAM4 electro-optical modulation format. It is used for Quantum-2 switches.
Features * Complies with InfiniBand NDR end-to-end system requirements * Built-in Broadcom 7nm DSP chip, with a maximum power consumption of 16.5W * The OSFP top features a heatsink for the Quantum-2 liquid cooling exchanger * SSupports 800G to 800G links between switches *8x 100G-PAM4 electrical signals converted to 2 channels of 4x 100G-PAM4 optical signals in parallel * After thorough testing with the real machine, it is fully compatible with NVIDIA (NVIDIA) QM9700/9790 devices * Complies with OSFP MSA, IEEE 802.3ck, RoHS standards, and Class 1 laser safety, supports digital diagnostic monitoring
