The AFBR-57D7APZ-ELX is an enterprise-grade 16G Fibre Channel SFP+ optical transceiver launched by Avago (formerly Avago Technologies, now part of Broadcom). It is designed for SAN storage networks, interconnection scenarios between data center servers and switches, and serves as a core high-speed interconnection component for the upgrade and expansion of enterprise storage area networks.

Adopting an 850nm short-wave multi-mode transmission solution, this transceiver supports 16Gbps FC multi-rate auto-negotiation and is backward compatible with 8G/4G FC protocols, making it compatible with FC storage switches and server HBA cards from mainstream brands such as Brocade and Cisco. Equipped with Avago's self-developed high-performance optical chip, it features low power consumption, low latency, and high anti-interference performance. It also has a built-in DOM (Digital Optical Monitoring) function, which can monitor key parameters such as operating temperature, voltage, and transmit/receive optical power in real time, supporting remote operation and maintenance as well as fault prediction.
