The Broadcom 9500-8e is an enterprise-grade external tri-mode Host Bus Adapter (HBA), designed for data centers, server storage expansion, and high-performance computing scenarios. It serves as a core component for building high-speed SAS/SATA/NVMe hybrid storage architectures.

Equipped with the SAS 3808 controller chip and a PCIe 4.0 x8 interface, the adapter features 2 external SFF-8644 (mini-SAS HD) ports. It supports tri-mode protocols: 12Gbps SAS, 6Gbps SATA, and PCIe 4.0 NVMe. A single card can connect up to 1024 SAS/SATA devices or 32 NVMe devices, meeting the expansion needs of large-scale storage arrays. With an efficient passive heat sink, it operates stably in temperatures from 0°C to 55°C, supporting JBOD direct connection, storage virtualization, and RAID configurations, and is compatible with mainstream servers and JBOD devices.
