Properties:
(1) High tensile strength The new ecology of domestic glass fiber (new ecological glass fiber refers to the fiber is not subjected to any surface damage and water vapor erosion after pulling out) The strength of monofilament is: alkali-free glass fiber 3.12GPa, medium alkali 5# glass fiber 2.68GPa, high strength 2# fiberglass 4GPa. (2) Elongation The elongation of glass fibers is generally 3% to 4%, which is much smaller than other natural and synthetic fibers.
(3) Good heat resistance Glass fiber has good heat resistance. With the increase of the content of high melting point components such as SiO 2 , ZrO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , CrO 3 , the heat resistance of the fiber is correspondingly increased, for example, the high silica fiber having a SiO 2 content of 96% (mass fraction), and the use temperature is 1000 ° C.
(4) Electrical properties Alkali-free glass fiber has high insulation resistance, good dielectric properties, low hygroscopicity and high temperature resistance. It is an electrical insulating material in the electromechanical industry with remarkable effects.
