Surfboard Glassing 4oz Fiberglass Cloth 4OZ 27" 70CM 0.12mm Lightweight
With lightweight feature and great flexibility, e-glass fiberglass is ideal material for surfboard glassing. 4oz and 6oz are common used specification, fiber glass cloth is the best in clarity and finish. Also its high tensile strength and tear resistance are able to improve the strength of surfboard but still keep the board at weight light.
When do the fiberglassing / laminating, several layers of 4oz or 6oz fiberglass fabrics are used to the board deck. Typically it will be 3 layers of cloth: two on the top and one on the bottom. 4oz is mainly used for shortboard so that the standard width is 70cm/27.5 inches.
Density or yarn count of the glass cloth will be a little different between two countries, while the high strength and quality are the same.
