The hydraulic oil suction filter element, as the core component of the hydraulic system, is responsible for filtering impurities in hydraulic oil and protecting key components of the system from wear and damage. Its technical characteristics are outstanding, with high-precision filtering ability, usually able to intercept particles several microns or even smaller, ensuring the purity of the oil.
Structurally, the hydraulic oil suction filter element is mainly composed of three parts: filter element skeleton, filter medium, and end cap. The filter frame is made of metal material, such as carbon steel or stainless steel, to provide stable support and ensure that it does not deform in high-pressure environments. The filtering medium is the key to achieving the filtering function, commonly including filter paper, filter screen, etc. Depending on the filtering requirements and usage environment, paper filter or synthetic filter can also be selected, the latter having better anti fouling ability and service life. The end cap is responsible for sealing and connecting, ensuring that the oil can only be filtered through the filter medium to prevent leakage.
Filtration accuracy: Oil suction filters usually adopt a coarse filtration design (with a filtration accuracy of generally 80-100 μ m), mainly intercepting large particle impurities (such as metal shavings, fibers, etc.) in the oil to prevent them from entering the oil pump and avoid pump body wear or jamming.
Low pressure design: Due to its installation at the oil pump suction port, the filter needs to withstand low pressure (generally<0.1MPa), so the structure is simple and the resistance is low, ensuring smooth oil suction of the oil pump.
Connection method: The oil outlet is usually equipped with threaded or flanged connections to meet different pipeline requirements.
Material selection: The filter material is usually metal mesh or coarse fiber, which is corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and suitable for different working conditions.
Working medium: Suitable for various hydraulic media such as mineral oil and biodegradable hydraulic oil.
Temperature range: It can operate within a wide temperature range (such as -30C to+100C) and adapt to different environmental requirements.
Preventing cavitation: By coarse filtration, the bubbles and impurities in the oil are reduced, reducing the risk of cavitation in the oil pump.
Protect hydraulic components: prevent impurities from entering precision components such as valve groups and servo valves, and extend the overall life of the system.

According to the classification of filter materials, there are: oil filter paper: 10-50um, glass fiber: 1-70um, HV glass fiber: 3-40um, metal mesh: 3-500um, sintered felt: 5-70um, and line gap filter: 15-200um.
Q6: What brands of filter cartridges do you make?
Our factory produces alternative universal filter elements for foreign brands such as Pall, Hedek, Dasheng, Parker, and Rexroth, as well as national standard oil suction filter elements, oil return filter elements, high-pressure filter elements, and coalescence dehydration filter elements. We support non-standard customization. We welcome samples or drawings for processing and customization.
Q7: How can customers choose the appropriate filter size when making their own filters?
We need to provide the flow rate, pressure, external dimensions, accuracy, filter medium and other parameters of the filter designed by the customer. We will provide the customer with the selected filter element size and quantity based on the filter size.
Q8: Is there any difference between filtering kerosene, gasoline, diesel filters and general hydraulic oil filters?
The sealing materials used in the filter element are different. Generally, the sealing ring of hydraulic oil filter element is nitrile rubber, while filtering media such as kerosene, gasoline, and diesel requires the use of fluorine rubber rings.
