Hydraulic systems generate various pollutants during operation, including system residues (such as rust and welding slag), external particles (such as dust), and wear debris generated during operation. The return oil filter element effectively filters out these impurities through physical interception and adsorption, preventing them from entering the oil tank again and circulating to critical parts of the system.
Although the pressure in the return oil pipeline is relatively low, if unfiltered return oil is directly returned to the oil tank, the hard particles in it will accelerate the wear of the hydraulic pump suction port or block precision control components such as servo valves and proportional valves. As the last line of defense, the return oil filter significantly reduces system vibration and noise, and improves overall operational efficiency.
1. Using multi-layer composite glass fiber or stainless steel filter materials, the filtration accuracy is usually 5-20 microns, which can effectively capture pollutants such as metal debris and rubber particles. The single filtration efficiency can reach over 99%, significantly extending the life of hydraulic oil and components.
2. The 20 filter element design has sufficient filtration area, with low resistance when oil passes through. The initial pressure drop usually does not exceed 0.08MPa, ensuring smooth oil return to the system without affecting the efficiency of the main pump and system response speed.
3. When the filter element is clogged and the pressure difference rises to the set value (such as 0.35-0.4MPa), the bypass valve automatically opens, allowing the oil to return directly to the tank without filtration. This is to prevent the filter element from crushing or causing greater damage due to a lack of oil in the system, which is a safety design. However, the filtering function is temporarily disabled when turned on.
4. An optional differential pressure transmitter can be installed. When the differential pressure reaches the warning value (such as 0.2-0.35MPa), an electrical signal or visual prompt (such as a red indicator column popping up) can be sent to remind the operator to replace the filter element in a timely manner and avoid the system being in a bypass state for a long time.
5. The filter element is supported by a metal frame inside, which can withstand pressure impact and pulsation in the return oil pipeline. The material of the end cap and seal is oil resistant and temperature resistant, with a working temperature range of usually -30 ℃ to+120 ℃. It is compatible with various hydraulic oils, fire-resistant oils, and water ethylene glycol media.
6. The filter element with a straight back design is installed at the top of the fuel tank. When replacing, simply unscrew the cover to pull out the old filter element and insert the new one. The operation is simple and not easy to spill oil. Some models are equipped with self sealing valves, which can automatically close the oil tank and oil circuit when the filter element is removed, preventing oil leakage, which is both clean and economical.

Q7: How can customers choose the appropriate filter size when making their own filters?

Q8: Is there any difference between filtering kerosene, gasoline, diesel filters and general hydraulic oil filters?
The sealing materials used in the filter element are different. Generally, the sealing ring of hydraulic oil filter element is nitrile rubber, while filtering media such as kerosene, gasoline, and diesel requires the use of fluorine rubber rings.
