Type B Microcrystalline Wax General-Purpose Protective Wax
Product Characteristics:
This product is a physical anti-aging agent for rubber, a complex mixture of various selected microcrystalline waxes with appropriate additions of paraffin wax. During rubber mixing and vulcanization, this product is completely dissolved. During the use and storage of rubber products, it forms a supersaturated paraffin solution system in the rubber, causing paraffin hydrocarbon molecules to continuously migrate to the surface of the rubber compound. This migration continues until the concentration of paraffin on the surface and inside the rubber reaches equilibrium. This dynamic equilibrium between solubility and migration allows the product to form a stable wax film on the rubber surface for a long time, thus preventing oxygen and ozone from attacking and damaging the rubber. The protective film formed by the solubility and migration of this product remains stable in the temperature range of -10℃ to 50℃. The protective film has excellent stability and dynamic stress resistance, and the wax film also reduces the damage to rubber caused by light. This product uses technological means to rationally control the proportion of straight-chain alkanes and branched-chain alkanes, giving it a wide carbon number distribution, a reasonable melting point range, and a stable kinematic viscosity range. It can provide the most effective long-term protection for rubber products.
Application Areas:
Tires, conveyor belts, and various rubber products used for general protection purposes. It can be used in combination with chemical anti-aging agents and other waxes to expand the protection range and effect.
Instructions for Use:
1. The granular product is suitable for automatic metering and manual mixing. To ensure dispersion, it is recommended to add it at the beginning of the mixing process.
2. This product is recommended for use in internal mixers. When using an open mill, the mixing temperature should be at least 10℃ higher than its melting point.
3. Recommended dosage for tire formulations is 1-4 phr; for conveyor belts, 2-6 phr; for other rubber products, the dosage should be determined based on experimental results, with a suggested maximum dosage of 10 phr.
