Intumescent Fire Resistant Coating Architectonic Freedom and Safety With Fire-Retardant Coatings

It is suitable for timber cladding, panels, ceilings, boards etc. It allows to use wood in those projects, where it previously was forbidden for fire safety reasons - in built-up areas and on tall buildings.

DESCRIPTOINS:

This intumescent Fireproof Coating particularly suitable for interior wooden structure, lumber, OSB, polywood for historic architecture, cottage, furniture and the like, it can be directly sprayed onto any surface keeping grains of substrate. Water-based and nontoxic, applied just like standard paints. It can be applied by rolling, brushing, or spraying. As little as two coats can create a fire-rated wall for your structure.

When exposed to flame or high heat, the coating puffs up to form a thick insulating cellular foam. This foam layer retards the penetration of heat, thereby reducing the flame spread (surface burning characteristics) and smoke development of combustible materials.

What Are The Most Common Applications For Zhuoan’s Fireproof Coating?

The most common applications for Zhuoan’s Fireproof Coating are in the building industry. With wood Fireproof Coating,the substrate surface must be clean,dry and free from contamination, such as dust,oil stain,water stain,etc.With steel Fireproof Coating, only a NACE 3 / SSPC-SP 6 commercial blast cleaning is typically necessary.

Only a NACE 3 / SSPC-SP 6 commercial blast cleaning is typically necessary. There is no need to blast to NACE 1 or 2 since slight oxidation on the surface allows for the best chemical reaction.

Can The Speed Of Reaction Be Slowed Down To Increase Working Time Before It Is Cured?

There are various ways to decrease reaction time, but they are specific to the material being coated and environmental factors. We will advise you on this during the consultation.

For wood Fireproof Coating,11.81mils; for steel Fireproof Coating, 118.11~1968.5mils, specific to the material being coated and fire resistant standard.

Do I Need Special Equipment In Order To Apply Zhuoan’s Fireproof Coatings?

Zhuoan’s fireproof coating applied using a plural (2K) spray gun or brush or roller. For spray model, the coating uses specific ratio, and sprays on using standard plural spray equipment that mixes at the nozzle of the spray gun. The process requires no heating equipment or other apparatus besides the plural spray gun.

What Does The Certification Process Entail?

Training is at our facility or yours. We teach you how to use it, the application process, and how to recognize proper effect. Experienced painters generally pick up the technique and understand the minor differences in a few minutes. We recommend two days of training to allow ample time to cover maintenance of the equipment, trouble shooting, and to understand the technology.
