This testing setup is primarily used to evaluate the thermal and mechanical properties of lithium-ion battery casing materials for electric vehicles (EVs), simulating the impact of high temperatures, flame jets, and particle erosion on the materials during thermal runaway.

Parameter:
1. Integrated steel structure, open testing platform to reduce heat buildup;
2. Stainless steel fume hood installed above the testing platform to collect combustion gases;
3. Imported flame jet burner, capable of supplying both jet and sandblasting flames;
4. Burner nozzle outer diameter approximately 28.6mm, with 30 methane supply ports, 78 oxygen supply ports, and one sandblasting supply port;
5. The burner can provide a 3kW jet flame and a 1.5g/s sandblasting flame;
6. Equipped with an electric spark igniter;
7. Imported mass flow meters control methane and oxygen flow rates;
8. Imported methane mass flow controller, range 0-10L/min, accuracy better than 2% F.S.;
9. Imported oxygen mass flow controller, range 0-50L/min, accuracy better than 2% F.S.;
10. Flame baffle configured, automatically opens during testing;
11. Automatic control of flame application and sandblasting flame;
12. Temperature measurement system using 4-channel K-type thermocouples with a wire diameter of 30AWG: flame temperature calibration thermocouple, sample back thermocouple, thermocouple 25mm from the
sample back, and spare thermocouple;
13. Stainless steel sample holder configured with calibration and testing positions, automatically pushed in during testing;
14. Control box integrated into the side of the test chamber for convenient operation and observation;
15. Data acquisition system, acquiring temperature (0.1℃), time (1s), and sandblasting signal;
16. Operating software, including manual and automatic operation modes, including temperature calibration, manual program, automatic program, report export, etc.
17. Window-based operating software with the following functions:
- Flame temperature calibration;
- Recording 3-channel test temperatures and generating temperature vs. time curves;
- Recording sandblasting signals and generating sandblasting vs. time curves;
- Report output and management.
