Product Description

The NFPA 1971 Thermal Protection Performance Tester is designed specifically for evaluating the thermal performance of firefighter protective gear and flame-retardant materials. It complies with international standards including NFPA 1971, NFPA 1977, ISO 17492, ASTM F2700, ASTM F2703, CAN/CGSB-155.20, EN 1486, and GA 634-2015.

By simulating a high heat flux of 84 kW/m², this tester accurately evaluates the thermal insulation performance of various protective equipment under radiant and convective heat exposure. The device measures heat transfer rates and predicts potential burn time and severity, providing critical safety data for firefighter protective gear in extreme heat environments.
