The combination of PTFE’s chemical inertness and EPDM’s flexibility in the PTFE+EPDM composite diaphragms makes them especially well-suited for metering fluids containing microcrystals, such as silicate. Meanwhile, diaphragms made entirely of PTFE provide almost universal chemical compatibility with a wide range of aggressive substances.
