The JORC type electronic timer condensate drain series features two primary models: the OPTIMUM and the COMBO. These models are engineered to automatically discharge condensed water on a timed basis within full-range compressed air systems. Each drain unit utilizes an analog solid-state electronic timer paired with a 2/2 way direct acting solenoid valve, enabling flexible customization of both the drain duration and interval cycles. This adjustability allows the system to efficiently handle varying volumes of condensate generation.
The OPTIMUM model is characterized by its compact, straight brass body incorporating a large 4.5mm discharge orifice. This design makes it particularly suitable for high condensate flow situations and is ideal for clean compressed air pipelines that include pre-filtering. In contrast, the COMBO model integrates a mesh strainer and a manual ball valve into one compact assembly. This configuration effectively blocks solid particles and prevents orifice blockages. Additionally, the built-in manual ball valve facilitates independent system shut-off, providing safe on-site maintenance without the need to shut down the entire pipeline.
Both models accommodate various thread sizes including 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT or G1/2 connections, as well as a wide range of voltage options such as 24VDC, 24VAC, 115VAC, 220VAC, and 230VAC. They are equipped with a physical TEST button and an LED working status indicator which allow users to manually trigger drainage and verify normal operation. The use of FKM/Viton fluororubber sealing ensures excellent resistance to oil, water, and temperature variations. Moreover, the devices offer an IP65 protection rating, guaranteeing reliable performance even in harsh industrial environments.
The valve bodies come in either brass or stainless steel, catering to both standard and high-pressure applications. These drains are compatible with all compressed air equipment, including air compressors, air receivers, water separators, precision filters, and refrigerated air dryers, operating under pressures ranging from 0 up to 230 PSI. Each unit is equipped with a built-in TEST micro-switch, allowing for manual drainage tests, accompanied by an LED indicator to show the current operational status. Featuring a 2/2 way direct acting valve design, these models prevent air locks during continuous operations.
The valves utilize FKM (Viton) fluororubber seals, known for their outstanding resistance to oil and temperature variations. They also support a wide voltage range and multiple thread port options, accommodating various installation demands. With an IP65 protection rating, these devices maintain stable performance even in humid industrial environments.
Maintenance is simplified by a serviceable valve core assembly that is easy to dismantle for cleaning or replacement. The systems operate effectively within a pressure range of 0 to 230 PSI and support medium and ambient temperatures from 34 to 131°F. For quick and secure wiring, a DIN43650A standard power connector is included.
The COMBO model boasts an integrated Y-type body complete with a built-in mesh filter screen. This filter captures solid impurities, thereby preventing clogging of the orifice. Additionally, it includes a manual ball valve for independent cut-off, which enables safe maintenance without the need to depressurize the entire system.
Installation flexibility is enhanced through dual thread inlet options: a 1/4" female and a 1/2" male NPT connection. Its all-in-one compact design reduces the need for additional piping and valve installations, saving valuable setup time.
Designed for high performance, the OPTIMUM model features a large 4.5mm straight-through orifice, providing superior condensate discharge capacity. Its simple square brass body ensures a small footprint, making it ideal for installations with limited space.
