Product Description:

The NORGREN 18D Series (Model 0880 / 0881) is an electro-mechanical pneumatic pressure switch designed for industrial automation applications. This diaphragm-actuated pressure monitor is widely used for pressure alarms, interlocks, and loop control within various industrial processes. Manufactured by IMI NORGREN, this series supports a pressure range from vacuum levels up to 30 bar.

The 18D Series offers multiple port options including G1/4, 1/4 NPT, and flange mounting to suit different installation requirements. Customers can choose between two electrical connection styles: DIN EN 175301-803 Form-A and M12×1 IEC 947-5-2. Additionally, LABS-free models and special brass-bodied variants are available, particularly suited for water service, making these pressure switches compatible with neutral gases, liquids, and water-based media.

Featuring a gold-plated contact microswitch that is UL and CSA certified, the NORGREN 18D Series ensures intrinsically safe operation and can withstand vibrations up to 15 g. It boasts a mechanical service life of up to 10 ⁷ switching cycles, maintaining excellent repeatability throughout its lifespan. The standard housing is made from aluminum alloy, while the water-application versions are housed in brass.

Seal options include NBR and FPM materials to provide reliable sealing performance. The product achieves a maximum ingress protection rating of IP67, making it well-suited for demanding industrial environments. When the system pressure reaches the preset point, the SPDT micro-switch outputs an electrical signal that can be used for machine interlocks, alarms, or on-off controls in pneumatic machinery, hydraulic systems, and water treatment equipment.

Note: It is recommended that set-points reside preferably within the middle of the pressure range. The rated pressure indicated on the nameplate must not be exceeded. Inductive loads require protection circuits to suppress sparks. Connectors are sold separately; DIN or M12 plugs are not included with the product.
