The HG-C series consists of compact CMOS laser displacement sensors designed specifically for industrial automation applications that demand stable and highly precise distance and position measurements. Each sensor in this series features an integrated CMOS laser optical system combined with a built-in mirror. These sensors cover five different measurement centre distances: 30 mm, 50 mm, 100 mm, 200 mm, and 400 mm. The corresponding measurable ranges extend from ±5 mm up to ±200 mm, with repeatability varying between 10 μm and 800 μm depending on the specific model chosen. Regarding linearity, the 30 mm, 50 mm, and 100 mm models achieve ±0.1% full scale (F.S.), while the sensors designed for longer measurement ranges have linearity specifications of ±0.2% F.S. or ±0.3% F.S.
Output options include analog voltage signals ranging from 0 to 5 volts and analog current outputs from 4 to 20 mA. Additionally, the sensors feature open-collector control outputs supporting either NPN or PNP configurations, with selectable Light-ON or Dark-ON operation modes to suit various application requirements.
The HG-C series sensors are enclosed in compact housings rated at IP67, offering protection against dust and water ingress. For external data acquisition and scaling needs, the device provides dual analog outputs which include a 0–5 V voltage output as well as a 4–20 mA current output. This facilitates integration with a wide range of control systems.
