The SMC AR425 to AR935 series features an internally pilot-operated, relieving-type air pressure regulator. Within this range, the AR825, AR835, AR925, and AR935 sub-series belong to the large-bore category, offering port sizes from 1-1/4" up to 2". These regulators are specifically designed for use in central compressor stations, high-flow mains, and multi-station centralized air supply systems.
The pilot-operated mechanism utilizes the supply air itself to control the main valve, resulting in significantly improved outlet stability. This design offers a lower pressure drop at high flow rates and ensures minimal outlet pressure fluctuation even when the inlet pressure varies. These advantages make it superior to direct-acting regulators in maintaining consistent performance.
This product range includes 14 part numbers, covering 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" AR825/AR835 models (some equipped with gauges, denoted as G versions), 2" AR925/AR935 models (also including G versions), and 2" X218 semi-standard special configurations.
The series is divided into high-pressure types (25: AR825/AR925), which offer an adjustable pressure range from 0.05 to 0.83 MPa, and low-pressure precision types (35: AR835/AR935), adjustable from 0.02 to 0.2 MPa. This range suitably covers both general pneumatic system requirements and low-pressure precision applications such as electronics manufacturing, coating processes, and laboratory air supply.
The product offers large bore ports measuring 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 2", suitable for mains and multi-drop centralized supply systems. These port sizes ensure efficient flow and compatibility with various installation requirements.
Featuring an internal pilot relieving mechanism, the device automatically releases any excess outlet pressure to the atmosphere. This design helps maintain stable pressure levels and enhances operational safety.
Two distinct pressure ranges are available to accommodate different precision needs: a high-pressure range from 0.05 to 0.83 MPa, and a low-precision range from 0.02 to 0.2 MPa. This flexibility enables users to select the appropriate setting for their specific applications.
The body is constructed from die-cast aluminum, providing durability and a lightweight design. The units weigh approximately 2.5 kg for the AR825 and AR835 models, and about 4.5 kg for the AR925 and AR935 models, making them rugged enough for plant use.
Models with the G suffix come equipped with a panel-mounted pressure gauge from the G46 series. This feature allows for easy and clear local pressure readings, enhancing user convenience and monitoring accuracy.
