The VASB series consists of bellows-type vacuum suction cups designed to provide reliable gripping and handling for workpieces with uneven, curved, or inclined surfaces. Unlike traditional flat suction cups, the unique 1.5-fold bellows construction offers built-in height compensation and stroke capabilities. This design enables the suction cups to adapt to irregular shapes, ensuring a secure seal even when the surface of the workpiece is not perfectly flat.
The series includes seven different diameters ranging from 15 mm to 125 mm, accompanied by three material variants tailored to various application needs. NBR (nitrile rubber) is widely used across general industrial applications due to its excellent wear and oil resistance. It is offered in black as the standard option, with a blue variant available for situations requiring visual differentiation. Additionally, silicone (SI) suction cups come in white and are known for their high temperature resistance and suitability for the food industry. The soft silicone contact surface helps minimize marking on delicate workpieces.
Each suction cup in the VASB series is equipped with a fixed threaded connection to facilitate straightforward mounting. The thread sizes are G1/8 for suction cups sized 15 to 30 mm, G1/4 for sizes 40 to 100 mm, and G3/8 for the 125 mm diameter cups. This allows direct attachment to vacuum generators, grippers, and handling systems without the need for additional adapters. The holding force varies significantly, starting from 7.9 N for the smallest 15 mm NBR cup up to a maximum of 610 N for the largest 125 mm silicone cup, making the series versatile for tasks ranging from light assembly to heavy-duty handling.
