The SMC AR425 to AR935 series represents a line of internally pilot-operated, relieving-type air pressure regulators. These regulators are engineered specifically for heavy-duty industrial compressed-air systems that demand a stable outlet pressure alongside a high flow capacity. In contrast to direct-acting regulators, their pilot structure utilizes the supply air itself to control the main valve. This design ensures enhanced pressure regulation accuracy, smoother flow characteristics, and significantly reduced outlet-pressure fluctuations in response to changes in inlet pressure.
This product range includes 12 commonly used part numbers divided into four sub-series: AR625, AR635, AR825, and AR835. The port sizes for these regulators vary from Rc 3/4" up to Rc 1-1/2". Customers can choose between two pressure ranges: a standard 0.05–0.83 MPa (25 type) and a low-pressure option of 0.02–0.2 MPa (35 low-pressure type). Additionally, units labeled with a "G" come equipped with an integrated panel pressure gauge, while a mounting bracket model B25P is available as an optional accessory.
