Our Micro-computer Plastic Burning or Decomposition Smoke Density Test Apparatus is an essential fire safety laboratory instrument. It is used to measure the smoke-producing properties of plastics under controlled combustion or decomposition conditions. Besides plastic materials, it also supports testing for various other building materials. This machine follows ASTM D2843, DIN 4102 and GB/T 8627 standards. It adopts a photometric system to record light transmittance changes during specimen burning and calculates smoke density automatically. It is widely adopted by material manufacturers, third-party inspection labs, universities and research institutions to evaluate the smoke hazard of polymer and construction materials.

Product Advantages

1. Reliable photometric detection system: Equipped with a 15W, 6V light bulb source. The smoke density measuring range covers 0~100% with measurement accuracy of ±3%. Receiving lens focal length is 60~65mm, guaranteeing stable and repeatable test readings.
2. Adjustable gas pressure system: The main burner working pressure can be adjusted up to 276 kpa, and auxiliary combustion chamber pressure is adjustable at 138 kpa. It maintains stable combustion atmosphere to ensure consistent test conditions.
3. Robust combustion box: The combustion chamber is constructed from 1.2mm thick 304 stainless steel plate, with dimension L300W300H790mm. It resists high temperature and corrosion during long-term repeated burning tests.
4. User-friendly structure with dual control panels. The transparent observation window allows operators to directly watch the burning and smoke generation process of samples.
