This IMO-compliant spread of flame test apparatus is engineered to evaluate the burning behavior of construction and marine transport materials. It performs a lateral flame spread test on vertically mounted specimens, records ignition and extinction time at different distances, and calculates the flame spread rate. The instrument measures critical heat flux, ignition heat, continuous burning heat, and total heat release value as required by fire safety codes. Featuring an explosion-proof gas circuit, radiant heating panel, and visual recording function, it fulfills the test requirements of ISO 5658-2 and ASTM E1321 for marine and construction fire certification.
Designed primarily for marine outfitting manufacturers, shipyards, marine material certification bodies, offshore equipment suppliers, building fire safety laboratories, and public transport interior material factories. The apparatus supports fire reaction certification testing for ship interior panels, vertical building boards, and other transport products.
