This flammability tester is engineered to evaluate the response of floor coverings to a small ignition source, supporting two standard test regimes: the methenamine tablet ignition test (ISO 6925, BS 6307) and the hot metal nut ignition test (BS 4790). The test enclosure is built from non-combustible, heat-resistant board, and a counterweighted sliding access panel provides safe entry to the test area. An inclined mirror mounted at the top interior of the chamber enables direct visual observation of specimen combustion without disturbing the test environment. The chamber measures 380 × 380 × 380 mm internally and is fitted with a measuring grid and clamping ring for accurate specimen fixation.
