Honeywell's Model 427 Wing Union Pressure Transmitter is robust and durable, utilizing the 1502 Wing Union and suitable for both onshore and offshore installations. The 427 features a newly designed pressure port with a wider diameter and shallower depth than traditional pressure ports, allowing viscous mud to pass through the pressure interface without residue. It offers a maximum accuracy of ±0.2% BFSL (Best Fit Straight Line). This sensor provides continuous, high-precision pressure measurement results for oil industry applications such as drilling.
The independent pressure-sensing diaphragm minimizes zero drift during torquing and eliminates long-term signal deviation in electric fields. The sensor diaphragm of Model 427 is integrated with the wing union. It adopts a fully welded construction and a patented electron beam welding process with deep penetration, ensuring seal integrity under all electric field conditions.
A special assembly process is applied to the Model 427 Transmitter to protect its components from vibration and shock, enabling reliable operation in harsh environments such as rupture or gluing systems. The 1502 Wing Union-compatible assembly is equipped with an Inconel® X-750 diaphragm, capable of handling abrasive and highly corrosive media. This device meets the corrosion resistance requirements of NACE Standard MR-01-75 (1980).
