The Tube Fire Suppression System for car engines is designed to automatically suppress fires in small enclosed areas. During a fire, rising heat degrades and melts the pressurized storage tube containing the extinguishing agent. The sensitive tube is made of special plastic with stainless steel fittings on either end. When exposed to fire, the tube melts and forms a hole that acts as a nozzle, releasing the extinguishing agent to put out the fire.
The storage tube is filled with FM200 (HFC-227ea) or Novec 1230 (FK-5-1-12) as the extinguishing agent — both are extremely effective, clean, and people-safe extinguishing media. The system is suitable for Class A, B, C, D, and E fires and is ideal for electric cupboards, data cupboards, switchboards, and similar enclosures. It can be installed by anyone, so no training is required. The extinguishing agent discharges as a liquid, disperses as a gas, and leaves no residue after extinguishing, eliminating clean-up costs. The agent does not conduct electricity, corrode materials, or cause thermal shock damage.
