8 12 24 48 Core Self Supporting Aerial CYTC8S Figure 8 Fiber Optical Cable

Applicaiton:

The cable is specifically for self-supporting aerial installation
Long-distance communication, local trunk line, CATV & computer networks system

 

Introduction:
The fibers, 250μm , are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The
tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A steel wire locates in the center
of core as a metallic strength member. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the
strength member into a compact and circular cable core. After an Aluminum Polyethylene
Laminate (APL) moisture barrier is applied around the cable core, this part of cable
accompanied with the stranded wires as the supporting part are completed with a
polyethylene (PE) sheath to be figure 8 structure.

The loose tube is made of high modulus plastics (PBT), which are filled with water resistant gel. The corrugated steel tape is applied which provide for crush resistant. Outer sheath is made of UV resistance PE jacket. Figure-8 self-supporting structure provides high tensile strength and enables easy and cost saving aerial installations.

2. Outstanding mechanical and environmental performance due to proper design, accurate excess length and cabling process
3. Stranded steel tape armor ensures better moisture resistance and side pressure resistance
4. Compact construction, light weight, suitable for self-supporting.

 

Standards:

Comply with Standard YD/T 1155-2001 as well as IEC60794-1.
