1. Internal Short‑circuit
‑Symptoms: Low charging voltage, poor discharge capacity, fast voltage drop, high electrolyte temperature, serious self‑discharge.
‑Causes: Foreign conductive debris, damaged separators, lead bulges or active‑material sediment causing short‑circuit.
‑Remedy: Remove foreign conductors; trim lead bulges & replace electrolyte; change damaged separators.
2. Plate Sulphation
‑Symptoms: Reduced capacity, abnormal charging voltage, early gassing, electrolyte temperature over 55℃.
‑Causes: Long‑term under‑charge, over‑discharge or low electrolyte level.
‑Remedy: Light sulphation by over‑charging; moderate by small‑current charging; severe by hydration treatment.
Suggestion: Follow service manual and perform equalizing charge regularly.
