Calcium propionate (chemical formula: C₆H₁₀CaO₄) is a white, fine crystalline particle or powder with no odor or taste. It has moderate hygroscopicity, is easily soluble in water, and its aqueous solution is weakly alkaline. It is slightly soluble in ethanol and insoluble in organic solvents.
