Purpose: Use1. In the aquatic feed industry, denatured starch is mainly used as feed adhesive for eel, water fish, etc., and its dosage is about 25% of the feed. In recent years, the annual consumption of aquatic feed in China is about 400000 tons, and 100000 tons of modified starch-pre-gelatinized starch are needed, of which about two-thirds depend on imports. The quality of pre-gelatinized starch produced by cassava starch is far better than that produced by corn starch. Cassava pre-gelatinized starch has strong market competitiveness. Use 2. In the building materials industry, modified starch is mainly used as the adhesive for the wall structure without mortar, the decorative adhesive for the interior wall, and the adhesive for the light ceiling board. With the rise of new building materials, the application of modified starch in the building materials industry is more and more extensive. It is estimated that by 2010, domestic modified starch for building materials will reach more than 100000 tons. Use 3. In the petroleum industry, denatured starch is mainly used as fluid loss additive, fracturing fluid thickener, demulsifier, etc. It is estimated that by 2010, the modified starch used in the petroleum industry will reach 50000 tons.
Use4. In the pharmaceutical industry, modified starch can be used as diluent, absorbent, adhesive, wetting agent, disintegrating agent, etc. The annual consumption of denatured starch by disintegrating agent alone is 15000 tons, which is expected to reach 30000 tons by 2010. In addition, denatured starch is also widely used in clinical medicine. In addition to the above-mentioned Ministry of Industry, the use of modified starch in casting, ceramics, daily chemicals, industrial wastewater treatment and other industries is also increasing, with a large potential market.
