FRP chemical tanks offer outstanding corrosion resistance. The resin matrix in FRP forms a dense protective layer, isolating the medium from the glass fiber. It resists corrosion from most chemical media, including highly oxidizing nitric acid, chloride-containing brine, and polar organic solvents (such as methanol and ethanol). Unlike carbon steel tanks, it does not suffer from pitting corrosion or weld corrosion, resulting in a service life of up to 15-20 years.
