A 2.5mm² PV1-F extension cable carries DC current between solar panels, combiner boxes, and inverters. The combination of tinned copper (49 strands) plus XLPO insulation delivers low contact resistance, UV stability, and deep cold performance.
The cable fits scenarios where high current is not the bottleneck: low-power modules, short-string runs, or compact rooftop layouts. In moderate-temperature conditions, a 300W module (~8.33A) allows 3 to 4 panels in series without reaching 41A load limits
1000V DC system compatibility – tested to 1.8kV DC. Fits standard residential or small commercial string inverters (1000V DC bus).
41A current capacity – under 60°C ambient, single core, free-air mounting. Real-world values require temperature derating: 70°C → 37.3A, 80°C → 33.6A, 90°C → 29.1A.
Tinned copper strands – each strand has a tin coating that protects against galvanic corrosion. Wind, salt fog, and thermal cycles will not attack the conductor at the point where insulation ends.
Flexible construction (Class 5) – 49 fine strands of 0.25mm diameter each. The cable bends around corners without cracking.
Outer diameter 5.4mm – fits standard MC4 crimping dies for 2.5–6mm² contacts.
