This 701230 lithium polymer pouch cell is a 3.7V 230mAh rechargeable cell in a 7.0 × 12 × 30mm soft-pack format, rated at 0.851Wh. The dimensions code 701230 describes the finished cell envelope: 7.0mm thickness, 12mm width and 30mm length, so the cell can be dropped into slim enclosures where a cylindrical or prismatic metal-can cell will not fit.
The cell uses a lithium cobalt oxide / NMC cathode with an aluminium-laminate film casing and welded aluminium and nickel tabs, and is supplied with an integrated PCM protection board assembled onto the cell body. The PCM protects against over-charge, over-discharge, over-current and short circuit, so the device does not depend on host-side protection to keep the cell safe. Cells are capacity-sorted before packing, so every unit in a batch delivers the labelled 230mAh within tolerance.

The 7.0mm finished thickness allows the cell to sit inside wearable bands, card-shaped devices and hand-held sensors where 12mm or 14mm pouch formats are too thick. Width and length tolerances are held to ±0.3mm so the cell locates reliably in a moulded pocket.
Cells are formed, aged and capacity-sorted before shipment. The rated capacity is stated at a defined 0.2C discharge at 25°C, with a 225mAh minimum floor, so the runtime figure you publish for your product matches what the end user experiences.
Voltage, internal resistance and thickness are measured on every cell. Sorted batches keep parallel strings and multi-cell devices balanced, which is the usual root cause of premature capacity loss in small wearable packs.
This cell ships with an integrated PCM: over-charge cut at 4.25V, over-discharge at 2.50V, over-current trip at 1.0–2.0A depending on the PCM selected, plus instantaneous short-circuit protection with automatic recovery. Because protection travels with the cell, your device design does not need a separate protection circuit, and certification testing for single-cell end products is simpler.
An NTC 10K (B=3435) thermistor can be bonded to the cell body and routed through the connector, so the charger or host device can throttle charging current based on real cell temperature rather than ambient guesswork.
We supply bare cells with solder tabs, cells with PCM and wire harness, or assembled multi-cell packs. Tab width, wire length, connector type, adhesive tape, double-sided mounting tape, labelling and inner carton layout can all be specified. Private-label printing on the cell wrap is available on volume orders.
Each production lot is tested for capacity at 0.2C, internal resistance, open-circuit voltage, thickness and appearance. Finished cells are aged and re-checked for voltage drop before packing, and every PCM is functionally tested for over-charge, over-discharge, over-current and short-circuit trip points. Test reports, UN38.3 test summary and MSDS are issued per shipment for air and sea freight.
Cells are produced under ISO 9001 quality management and supplied with CE, RoHS, UN38.3, IEC62133 and MSDS documentation.
