This woven gabion fence is built on double-twist hexagonal mesh made from low-carbon steel wire, then hot-dip galvanized to a 275g/m2 zinc coating weight. That coating weight is the single most important number in gabion specification: it defines the corrosion budget of the whole structure for the next decades.
Manufactured and tested to EN 10223-8 (hexagonal steel wire mesh gabions). CE declaration of performance and ISO 9001:2015 factory certificate are issued with every shipment. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, Intertek) can be arranged before loading, and mill test certificates for wire and zinc coating are provided as standard documents for tender submission.
The double-twist hexagonal structure is flexible. It tolerates uneven settlement, scour and water pressure without cracking, and it is fully permeable, so hydrostatic pressure never builds up behind the structure. Vegetation establishes in the stone voids within two seasons, which is why this construction scores well on public-sector environmental assessment.
10-year written warranty on zinc coating integrity under normal inland exposure. Project-specific 20-30 year material guarantees are available when the coat weight and water chemistry are confirmed at the quotation stage.
