Available in two primary types: hot-dip galvanized wire and electro-galvanized wire (cold galvanized). Hot-dip galvanizing involves immersion in molten zinc, providing fast production with coating thickness ranging from 45 microns minimum to over 300 microns maximum. This process creates a dark-colored, durable coating that forms an infiltration layer with the base metal, delivering exceptional corrosion resistance suitable for decades of outdoor use.
