Hot-dip galvanization is a process in which steel coils are immersed in a bath of molten zinc to

form a protective coating. The steel coils are thoroughly cleaned and then dipped into the molten

zinc bath, allowing the zinc to bond with the surface of the steel. This process creates a layer of

zinc that acts as a barrier, protecting the steel from corrosion.

Regular Spangle vs. Zero Spangle

Regular spangles: regular spangles are known for their unique, rough, petal-like crystals, which give

a very strong visual impact. These spangles are suitable for applications that emphasize visual effects

and decorations.

The rough spangle surface helps to improve corrosion resistance, especially in harsh environments such

as marine climates and high humidity areas.

However, the rough surface may affect some precision machining processes, such as the flatness during

cutting and welding, so the choice of spangle may need to be reconsidered in products with high machining

accuracy requirements.

Zero spangle provides a more delicate, even coating that enhances the overall quality of the product. Its

surface smoothness not only reduces imperfections during the painting process, but also ensures long-term 

coating adhesion, making these products more durable in daily use.

This type of coating can remain uniform during long-term use, and is not prone to peeling or cracking, thereby

Galvanized Steel vs. Regular Steel

The main difference between galvanized steel and regular steel is the protective barrier formed by

the addition of zinc to the surface of galvanized steel. This zinc makes galvanized steel much more

durable, robust, and rust-resistant. Whereas galvanized steel has been coated in zinc, regular steel

is predominantly made of iron which will corrode when exposed to moisture.

♦ No Maintenance Required: Once dipped in zinc, galvanized steel does not require any further conversion.

♦ Easy Inspection: It is possible to determine the strength of the galvanized steel just by looking at it.

However, stress tests are quick and easy to perform and indicate how thick the layer of zinc is and

therefore how much protection the steel has.

For the sizes, it has some regular used widths, any length is available.

For some special widths, (18 inch, 96 inch etc) some industries may use custom widths, 

which need to be ordered according to specific customer requirements.
