Common Problems & Solutions
CS9 drive axis error at boot — commonly caused by pendant (WMS) communication loss or an open safety chain. Replace the WMS with the Maintenance Plug to isolate; if axes jog normally, replace the WMS cable or pendant.
DC bus undervoltage / pre-charge timeout — check the pre-charge resistor, soft-start contactor, and bulk capacitors. On a 400–480 VAC 3-phase supply, the DC bus should reach 540–680 VDC within ~3 seconds.
Encoder feedback fault on individual axis — inspect the motor encoder cable for continuity and shield damage at the arm-side bulkhead connector. Stäubli uses Hiperface/EnDat encoders; a damp or contaminated connector pin will trigger an amplitude-check failure at boot.

Predecessor: RX160 (discontinued) — the TX2-140 replaces the RX160 with improved wrist stiffness, ±0.015 mm repeatability (vs. ±0.05 mm), and unified CS9 control architecture across the entire TX2 range.
