MINDSYNC TECH SQ-1503 Dexterous Robotic Hand

Product Overview

The MINDSYNC TECH SQ-1503 is a tendon-driven dexterous robotic hand developed for flexible grasping and fine manipulation. It uses an axial flux motor and tungsten-wire tendon drive to control the fingers while keeping a flexible hand structure.

The SQ-1503 has 20 degrees of freedom, including 16 active and 4 passive degrees of freedom. Its design is intended for tasks that require different grasping patterns, small-object handling and manipulation of irregular workpieces.

The robotic hand has a reported 1 mm repeat positioning accuracy, a minimum graspable object of a 10 mm sphere, and a static load of up to 8 kg. CAN communication is used for system integration.

The SQ-1503 is suitable for robotic research, flexible manipulation and industrial tasks where a conventional gripper may not provide enough finger movement.

Application Industry

The SQ-1503 is intended for applications that need more flexible finger movement than a conventional two-finger or three-finger gripper.

Typical application areas include:

Industrial Manufacturing

The dexterous hand can be integrated into robotic systems for handling, assembly and other operations involving different object shapes.

Flexible Object Grasping

The tendon-driven structure is designed for flexible grasping, making the SQ-1503 suitable for handling objects that are not easily managed by fixed-jaw grippers.

Irregular Part Handling

The multi-finger structure can be considered for manipulation of irregular-shaped components where several contact points may be required.

Robotics Research

The SQ-1503 can be used as a robotic manipulation platform for research involving dexterous grasping, hand control and robot manipulation.

Humanoid and Embodied AI Systems

The hand can be integrated into robotic platforms where human-like multi-finger manipulation is required.

The manufacturer also lists industrial production lines, bionic research platforms, flexible object grasping and irregular-part operations among the intended application scenarios.

Common Problems

The Hand Cannot Move Normally

Check the power supply, communication connection and control system first. The operating voltage and communication interface should match the selected SQ-1503 configuration.

The Grasping Force Is Not as Expected

The actual grasping result depends on the object shape, contact position, finger movement and control parameters. Check the object and finger contact conditions before changing the hardware.

The Object Is Too Small to Grasp

The published minimum graspable object is a 10 mm sphere. Objects smaller than this or objects with unsuitable shapes may require a different grasping strategy.

Communication Is Unstable

The SQ-1503 uses a CAN communication interface. Check the CAN connection, wiring and control-side configuration when communication problems occur.

Integration With an Existing Robot Is Difficult

Before integration, confirm the mechanical installation, power supply, communication interface and control requirements of the robot platform. The hand should not be selected only by appearance or overall dimensions.

Replacement Models

There is no direct replacement model confirmed from the available SQ-1503 documentation.

Other MINDSYNC TECH dexterous-hand models use different mechanical structures or positioning within the product range. For example, SQ-1502 is another tendon-driven model, while LG-601 uses a different linkage-based structure. These products should therefore be treated as alternative products rather than direct one-to-one replacements.

For replacement or system upgrade projects, the following information should be checked:

  • Existing robotic hand model

  • Number of active and passive DoF

  • Drive method

  • Communication interface

  • Operating voltage

  • Mechanical dimensions

  • Required grasping force

  • Required fingertip force

  • Robot mounting arrangement

  • Control-system compatibility

Why Buy From Us

Product Sourcing

We supply robotic hands and other robot components for industrial automation, research and robotic integration projects.

Model Verification

For SQ-1503 inquiries, we can check the model, configuration and required quantity before quotation rather than treating different configurations as the same product.

Robot Integration Support

If you are using the SQ-1503 with an existing robot or robotic platform, provide the robot model and integration requirements. We can help check the basic product compatibility.

International Procurement

We support overseas buyers with product sourcing, quotation, order coordination and international shipment arrangements.

Related Robot Products

If the project also requires robotic arms, grippers, sensors or other robot components, related products can be sourced together according to the application requirements.

Stock & Delivery Time

SQ-1503 availability depends on the current production schedule, configuration and order quantity.

Standard and customized configurations may have different delivery schedules. Stock status should therefore be confirmed before placing an order.

For a project order, please provide the required quantity, configuration and destination country so that the current availability and estimated delivery time can be checked.
