Does photochromic car window film work through glass?
Standard automotive glass blocks most UV-B but allows UV-A to pass through. Our photochromic TPU film is specifically designed to respond efficiently to UV-A wavelengths that penetrate automotive glass, ensuring reliable performance for in-car installation. While activation speed and darkening depth may be slightly reduced compared to direct UV exposure, the film maintains effective performance through existing car glass.
