LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) is a thermoplastic material made from ethylene through high-pressure polymerization process. Due to the large number of short branches in its molecular chain, it has the characteristics of softness, impact resistance, and easy processing.
Core raw material composition
Main raw material: Ethylene
Derived from petroleum or natural gas, extracted through processes such as ethane steam cracking and naphtha cracking, it is the basic unit that constitutes the LDPE molecular chain.
Auxiliary raw materials
Catalyst (free radical initiator): such as benzoyl peroxide, triggers the polymerization of ethylene molecules, determining the reaction rate and polymer molecular weight.
Additives: added as needed to optimize performance, commonly including antioxidants (anti-aging), lubricants (easy to process), anti adhesion agents (preventing finished products from sticking), coloring agents (adjusting color), etc.
The texture is soft and tough, unlike hard plastics that are prone to cracking.
It has good low temperature resistance, capable of maintaining good toughness at -60 ℃, making it suitable for freezing scenarios.
With strong chemical stability, it is resistant to most chemical substances like acid, alkali, and salt, and insoluble in common solvents.
Featuring excellent processability, it is easy to produce films, pipes, toys, and other products through methods such as blown film and injection molding.
