The 1*16 PM Fiber Splitter (Polarization-Maintaining 1*16 Fiber Splitter) is an equal-power splitting device based on panda-type polarization-maintaining fiber, which stably and evenly splits one input optical signal into 16 outputs. This product operates in the 420–456 nm band and is suitable for various short-wavelength visible/near-ultraviolet polarization-maintaining systems. The device features comprehensive performance including low insertion loss, good extinction ratio, high return loss, and high directivity, and can be selected for slow-axis only or fast-axis application to meet different optical path design requirements. The standard configuration includes PM Panda fiber + 1.0±0.1 m pigtail + FC/APC connector, with the connector keypad aligned to the slow axis by default for consistent polarization direction within the system.
2. Product Advantages
Multi-channel equal power distribution, simple structure Utilizing a 1*16 structure, one input beam can be evenly split into 16 output beams, suitable as a front-end splitter for multi-point detection, multi-channel sensing, or multi-parallel signals, simplifying system optical path design.
Low insertion loss and loss uniformity Typical excess loss ≤19 dB, and loss uniformity across channels ≤1.6 dB, which helps maintain similar output power across branches, facilitating unified calibration of subsequent circuits and algorithms, and reducing inter-channel compensation workload.
Good extinction ratio, reliable polarization preservation capability Polarization extinction ratio ≥12 dB, providing a certain polarization preservation capability in the 420–456 nm band; simultaneously, the device supports slow-axis only operation or fast-axis application, ensuring connector key alignment with the slow axis, which is beneficial for establishing a unified polarization reference direction in polarization-sensitive systems.
High Return Loss and High Directivity Return loss ≥55 dB and directivity ≥50 dB effectively suppress end-face reflections and crosstalk between ports, protecting the pre-amplifier and precision sensing devices, and improving the system's signal-to-noise ratio and long-term stability.
Good Power and Environmental Adaptability Maximum power handling capacity ≤0.3 W, operating temperature -5~+65 ℃, storage temperature -40~+80 ℃, suitable for long-term online use in laboratory, computer room, and general industrial environments.
Simple Selection and Strong Interface Compatibility Standard configuration uses Panda polarization-maintaining fiber, 1 m pigtail, and FC/APC connectors. Different sheaths such as 250 μm bare fiber, 0.9 mm, 2.0 mm, and 3.0 mm are available, along with various connectors such as FC/SC/LC, facilitating seamless integration with existing platforms.
