The Pipe Based Dual Screen is a high-performance sand control and filtration solution for water, oil, and gas wells. It consists of an inner casing pipe (load-bearing) and an outer 304L stainless steel wire-wrapped screen, assembled into a single 10‑meter joint with LTC (Long Thread Coupling) connections.

Theory

The Pipe Based Dual Screen works on a two‑stage filtration and flow principle:

1. Outer 304L wire‑wrapped screen – Formation fluids (water, oil, or gas) first pass through the precision gaps between wrapped wires. Sand particles larger than the gap are retained outside, preventing sand production.

2. Inner casing – The filtered fluid enters the casing bore, which acts as a smooth conduit to transport production to surface. The casing also protects the outer screen from collapse and provides structural integrity for the entire string.

3. LTC connection – Ensures continuous, leak‑free assembly of multiple joints, suitable for deviated, horizontal, and deep wells.

This design effectively controls sand, reduces erosion of surface equipment, and extends well life.
