Product Details
Production Process
Investment casting, also known as lost wax casting, creates parts with fine details and an excellent surface finish, offering significant savings in material, labor, and machining costs. A detailed wax pattern is made and mounted on a "tree" with a metal delivery system. The wax tree is dipped in ceramic slurry and sprinkled with stucco until a thick shell forms. The wax is then melted out, leaving a cavity in the shell. Molten metal is poured into the cavity, and once solidified, the shell is broken down, and the gates are removed, revealing the finished part.
