1. Fire resistance

As gypsum board is a fire-resistant material, plasterboard is also fire-resistant for 4 hours. This is due to the presence of water in the plaster's composition. When exposed to fire, water begins to evaporate. This allows the plasterboard to form a protective layer, preventing the spread of fire for some time.

2. Non-combustible

When plasterboard comes into contact with fire, a process known as curing begins. During the curing process, the board dries and forms a new layer. The wall thus becomes non-combustible within a few hours, and always at room temperature.

Installation Guidelines for Gypsum Wallboard

Preparation

• Precisely cut gypsum wallboards to the required dimensions, making adjustments as needed.

• Assemble the necessary tools: drill, screwdriver, pencil, measuring tape, and scissors.

Installation Steps

• Initial Wallboard: Mark the position of the first wall plate on the surface and predrill the screw holes. Fix the wall plates with a screwdriver.

• Subsequent Wallboards: Align the subsequent wall panels with the edges of the previous wall panel to ensure seamless joints. Secure them in place with a screwdriver.

Seam Treatment

• Utilize gypsum wallboard filler to bridge gaps between wallboards, ensuring flawless joints.

• After the filler has dried, employ sandpaper to achieve a seamless appearance across the entire surface.

Surface Finishing

• Optional: Enhance the aesthetics by applying paint or wallpaper to the gypsum wallboard surfaces.

Final Inspection
