Keratin is a structural protein of ectodermal cells, including hair, nails, feathers, etc. Keratin is a hard protein that can not be directly absorbed by livestock and poultry. It mainly exists in the hair, feathers and hooves of animals. It is very rich in resources, and it must be processed by high temperature, high pressure or enzyme to become short peptides or free amino acids before it can be used by livestock and poultry.
Habio keratinase is a new type of enzyme developed by Mianyang Habio Bioengineering Co., Ltd with modern genetic engineering, microbe fermentation and advanced post-process technology. It has efficient disulfide bond reductase and peptide hydrolysis enzyme activity, and can effectively catalyze the hydrolysis of proteins especially keratin proteins, can be widely used in feed, leather, food, cosmetics, and other industrial fields.
One unit (U) of keratinase activity is defined as the amount of enzyme which liberates 1 μg tyrosine per minute from substrate casein at pH 10.5 and 40℃.
* The optimum temperature is 35-80℃;
* The optimum pH is pH6.5-10.5;
* Strong pepsin-trypsin resistance; Good heat resistance at 85℃;
* Advanced liquid submerged fermentation technology, unique post-treatment process, good stability, suitable for all kinds of feed.
* Specifically decompose keratin (hard protein containing a large amount of disulfide bond) in feeds such as feathers and hair, convert it into absorbable peptides and amino acids, significantly improving the utilization rate of unconventional protein raw materials.
* By converting low-cost waste such as feather powder and animal horn chips into high-quality protein sources, we will reduce dependence on traditional soybean meal and fish meal, reduce feed costs and promote resource recycling.
* The active peptides produced by degrading keratin may have antibacterial and antioxidant effects, while reducing the accumulation of undigested protein in the intestine, reducing the risk of inflammation and optimizing the balance of microbial flora.
