Automatic Conformal Coating Line with Double-Sided Processing, Ultra-High Precision, and Dual-Side Infrared Curing for PCBs
The 730+IR3DS-6 Double-Sided Conformal Coating Production Line is a comprehensive turnkey solution engineered for manufacturers requiring complete top and bottom side PCB protection in a single, continuous automated workflow. This fully integrated line seamlessly connects an automatic feeding conveyor, two HP-730 Selective Coating Machines, a sealing inspection conveyor, a flipping machine, the IR3DS-6 Infrared Curing Oven, and an inspection collection station into one cohesive system.
Dual-Coater Configuration for Double-Sided Processing
At the core of this line is its dual-coater configuration designed for double-sided processing. PCBs begin their journey at the automatic feeding conveyor before entering the first HP-730 coating machine for precise A-side (top) selective coating application. After a critical leveling period on the sealing inspection conveyor—allowing the freshly applied coating to self-level for optimal surface quality—boards proceed to the flipping machine. Here, boards are automatically inverted with precision, preparing them for B-side processing. The second HP-730 coating machine then applies conformal coating to the bottom side with the same ±0.02mm repeatability and precision as the first, ensuring consistent protection on both surfaces.
Advanced Infrared Curing Technology
Following complete double-sided coating, boards enter the IR3DS-6 Infrared Curing Oven. This advanced oven features multi-zone temperature control and uniform infrared heating technology, delivering rapid, thorough curing of coatings on both sides simultaneously. The oven's design ensures consistent thermal profiles regardless of board orientation, guaranteeing complete polymerization and optimal coating performance.

With SMEMA integration at every stage, the 730+IR3DS-6 line ensures perfect workflow synchronization, eliminates transfer errors, and creates a continuous, hands-free manufacturing environment ideal for automotive, medical, aerospace, and high-reliability electronics requiring complete PCB encapsulation.
Production Process Flow
Manually place the PCBA boards to be coated (component side up) into the automatic feeding conveyor.
The boards are transferred from the automatic feeding conveyor into the conformal coating machine for top side (A-side) spraying.
After coating, the PCBA boards enter a sealing inspection conveyor for buffering and leveling.
The boards then proceed to a flipping machine for board inversion, followed by entry into the coating machine for bottom side (B-side) spraying.
After B-side coating, the boards enter the infrared curing oven for final curing.
Following curing, the boards move to the inspection and collection station for manual sampling inspection and removal.
