Product Description
This brass flashback arrestor (flame preventer) is an essential safety accessory for oxy‑fuel welding and cutting systems. It can be installed on gas pressure regulators, welding hoses or cutting torches, with dedicated models for oxygen, acetylene and propane to efficiently block flashback and reverse gas flow.
Manufactured with high‑strength solid brass housing, it features excellent rust‑proof and anti‑corrosion performance, perfectly suited for harsh workshop environments. Built‑in filter and flame‑cut‑off structure rapidly quenches backfire flame and stops reverse gas flow once flashback happens. It effectively prevents flame from traveling backward to gas cylinder or pressure regulator, avoiding potential fire and explosion hazards.
Clear flow‑direction marking on the housing guides correct installation. Two mainstream connection styles are available: threaded version for regulator‑end mounting and barbed hose nipple version for torch‑side installation. Different colored labels distinguish oxygen, acetylene and propane variants to prevent mis‑application for wrong gas sources.
These flashback arrestors are widely used in oxy‑acetylene welding, brazing, metal cutting, fabrication workshops and industrial gas supply stations.
